Lovely Yuri: Let the those Blossoms Bloom~

I've been an avid fan of yuri since three years ago, and that's a long time, considering how I've only entered the manga/anime world half a year before. The soft love between innocent schoolgirls. The hot and steamy nights between a passionate pair of office ladies. I love it all! No, perhaps that's taking it to the extreme. The yuri that I can't stand is plain fan-service yuri. I've never liked Kampfer because of this very reason. In general, blatant flashing of cleavage and panties just doesn't do for me. I feel that in this way, my tastes are more sophisticated. I'm not saying that fan-service is a no-no for me; there just needs to be moderation and some sprinkle of taste for fan-service to be potent.
Soft and touching. I can just hear the light piano music playing in the background.

Enough about fan-service. Let's return to the world of lilies.
There's just something about yuri that calms my soul and makes me squeal at the same time. Traps are great, but they can't beat the power of girls in love!

12/27/2011 Another Passing Day

Today was another eventless day. Whenever a long-term break approaches, the atmosphere is full of excitement and restlessness. But, a few days into vacation, you want to have something to do to break the stagnant air. Luckily for me, my friend called and invited me to go rock-climbing with her. Personally, I'm not one to favor such an activity, but it was better than staying home all day, so I agreed. I wouldn't have declined anyway-even if I didn't have to stay home if I didn't agree to go. But, a few hours later, I realized that I couldn't go. My ring finger is broken. How am I supposed to climb an eighty-foot plastic wall? I'll have to call my friend tomorrow and ask her if we could go anywhere else.

I just ordered Otoko no Ko wa Meido Fuku ga Osuki Visual Book vol. 2 from CDJapan.co.jp. I sent the cash over to Japan using three forever stamps. Hopefully that's enough to get it all the way to Japan. I can't wait to receive the at book. It looks like it'll come with two coasters: one of Yuki and one of Nao. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, head onto here-->http://hobby-channel.net/otosuki/. For non-Japanese speakers/readers-->http://yuuwaku.wordpress.com/2008/05/11/cherry-girls-welcome-to-cherry-girls/ (many thanks to suneo for working on the series!). Bad thing is that SAL takes on average 1-3 weeks to deliver, CDJapan takes 1-2 weeks to send it out, and my payment will take 1-2 weeks to reach Japan. So much waiting.

I've realized that I'm more into reading manga than watching anime. With manga, art quality is less of an issue, and I feel that I can stop reading anytime I wish. With anime, I have to watch 25 min. non-stop and finish an episode even after becoming uninterested. It also feels more time-consuming and mind-numbing. Light novels are also to my liking. Too bad not too many translations are available. (tlwiki.org being the only light novel translation hosting site I know...).

I've realized that I'm more prone to want to buy trap merchandise than yuri merchandise. I wonder why... I like them both about equally (I can actually say that I favor yuri). It really is a mystery. I've already bought Waai! vol. 9 and Josou Shonen Anthology Manga apple. But, no yuri merchandise whatsoever was purchased.

Thanks to anyone who has read through this jumble of crap. In case nobody has figured it out, I plan to keep record of my daily-weekly-monthly thoughts (meaning I might update daily, weekly, or monthly). If you're actually interested in what I want to say (doubtful), please drop some comments. That will further motivate me to go on.
